Maxims of Christian Perfection

It comes natural to think of the six Maxims as the “six jars full of excellent wine”, like the six jars at Cana of Galilee after the first miracle of JESUS. The rich juices from the Gospel are to be found in the six precious Maxims, each giving that which is “essential”, fundamental in our spiritual life, that without which our spiritual life is either non-existent or is severely warped.
