Maxims of Christian Perfection

The spirituality of Blessed Rosmini has its profound roots in the Scriptures, in the Gospels in particular. Of his substantial book, “The Constitutions of the Institute of Charity”, which he considered an expansion of the Maxims of Christian Perfection, he wrote: “With the rest of the faithful we have the Gospel of Christ as our great common book. We must use it day and night. Our Constitutions, taken from the Gospel, must lead us back to it” (C464E).
