The soul is essentially “that which feels” and has to be devoid of any material part in order to be such, it has to be “spiritual”. There are two fundamental realities in man: the idea of being, and the fundamental feeling. By means of both, knowledge becomes possible, the idea providing the objectivity, and the fundamental feeling providing the matter.
